conf slide about Search Efficiency Optimisation. To remove those events as well use the NOT MsgId="*AUT20915*", but this will be a bad performer on large searches. Keep in mind, try to avoid NOT search, instead search for what you want and need.Īlso keep in mind if you have multi value fields, it will still match events which for example holds a value of MsgId="AUT11111, AUT20915". Splunk will automatically perform the equivalent of expanding the search string for. (MsgId=AUT22670 OR MsgId=AUT24414 OR MsgId=AUT22673 OR MsgId=AUT23574 OR MsgId=AUT20915 OR MsgId=AUT22886) Splunk Search: Re: NOT like multiple values Options. For more tips on search optimization, see Quick tips for optimization.I don't know why you do it this way, because your base search is searching for the multiple MsgId but further down the pipe you discard them uld it be those are multivalve fields and/or your events are not properly line broken? Anyway, probably you have a reason to do so so let me help you. You can use the where command to: Search a case-sensitive field. It uses eval-expressions that return a Boolean result (true or false), and only returns results for which the eval expression is true. The execution cost for a search is actually less when you explicitly specify the values that you want to include in the search results. The Splunk where command is one of several options used to filter search results. Using the != expression or NOT operator to exclude events from your search results is not an efficient method of filtering events. Description Use the search command to retrieve events from indexes or filter the results of a previous search command in the pipeline. Searching with != or NOT is not efficient Since I don't know what the rest are, I can't. If you use regular expressions in conjunction with != in searches, see regex. I know how to filter for a specific event so, for example, I always run this: sourcewineventlog: earliesttime-24h 'TypeSuccess' But what I'd now like to do is the opposite: I'd like to eliminate all these 'successes' so I can see all the rest. The following example uses the cidrmatch and if functions to set a field, isLocal, to 'local' if the field ipAddress matches the subnet. If you search for a Location that does not exist using NOT operator, all of the events are returned. Splunk, it looked like this: As you can see, this alert takes the original poor. Source="Ponies.csv" NOT Location="Calaveras Farms" ID search for large files in our network logs that were being sent from. This includes events that do not have a Location value. What Im trying to do is when the value, run a separate query and when the value is anything else but run a different query. This includes events that do not have a value in the field.įor example, if you search using NOT Location="Calaveras Farms", every event is returned except the events that contain the value "Calaveras Farms". If you search with the NOT operator, every event is returned except the events that contain the value you specify. If you search for a Location that does not exist using the != expression, all of the events that have a Location value are returned. For more information about when to use the append command, see the flowchart in the topic About event grouping and correlation in the Search Manual. The append command runs only over historical data and does not produce correct results if used in a real-time search. Source="Ponies.csv" Location!="Calaveras Farms" ID Appends the results of a subsearch to the current results. Events that do not have Location value are not included in the results. Events that do not have a value in the field are not included in the results.įor example, if you search for Location!="Calaveras Farms", events that do not have Calaveras Farms as the Location are returned. If you search with the != expression, every event that has a value in the field, where that value does not match the value you specify, is returned. Note that in Splunk when you are including multiple evaluations in a where or eval statement you have to include the boolean AND. As you can see, some events have missing values. However there is a significant difference in the results that are returned from these two methods. Returns true if the event matches the search string X. When you want to exclude results from your search you can use the NOT operator or the != field expression. If you search with the expression, every event that has a value in the field, where that value does not match the value you specify, is returned.

Unfortunately, it looks like you've had bad experiences, which is the case with a lot of players, and now you're ranting at us for some reason. It's not hard to find them and you can actually have a good time without spending money on the game. But of course, they are few compared to the ocean of twelve-year-old specs calling everyone "kids". There are plenty of cool, legit people in CA who are fun to play with. And the spec weapons aren't that great anymore the only really cheap ones are probably the turret and the meds. To me, it normalizes the playing field and killing them makes 'em even madder than they were before they had spec. That being said, because they put this decision right at the beginning of the game, it means that your characters already have more of a significant impact on things almost right out of the gate, than say, something like Skyrim where you're a superfluous nobody even at the end of the game and everyone you talk to acts like they've met you for the first time, and why wouldn't they? Nobody needs to acknowledge the actions of someone who had to let a bunch of DEAD people beat the "big bad" for him, and nothing in the world changes afterward.yay. Richard Garriott talked about this a lot: "bosses" and emergency situations aren't just going to sit politely and wait for you to come at your convenience to resolve things you're going to have to hurry and make hard decisions, and even face consequences for your actions. His best just honestly sucked because YOU are his best at the time, so casualties!ĪGC-or-Highpool is definitely one of the best design decisions the developers made and I think it solidifies a lot of what a lot of "retro" developers are trying to bring back in games: consequences. Make sure you've cleaned up any loot and go back to the World Map.I saved Highpool with this simple decision-making process: "knowing that saving one means the destruction of other, which mess would I rather clean up? Well, I can pretty much imagine what violent mauraders look like just watch Beyond Thunderdome, but killer plant infestations? THAT I just GOTTA see!"Īnd I.actually felt guilty with my decision because this game really does hit you hard with those consequences and you even have to listen to it live on the radio even before you go "clean up the mess", and the sad thing is, Vargas WAS doing his best. You're required to find a town called Damonta, east of the old prison. It's broken, so call Ranger HQ for further instructions. Kill any enemies around here and take the chest they are guarding, then grab the loot from the chest (check for traps!) and examine the radio tower. Past the guardhouse, go up the hill to the radio tower. Go up the north path between two cars and you'll arrive in the city. Kill Jackhammer and her crew and talk to Sean, chosing the "camp" conversation tree to get a side quest. He'll be talking with Jackhammer, who commands the Wreckers. Grab the chest and continue through the house until you find Sean, the leader of Highpool. Get inside the building that the Wreckers were guarding once you've killed them all. Now go southwest towards the dead bodies and fight another group of Wreckers. Use Lockpicking to open the gate, check for traps and grab the box. Use Perception and you'll see it's booby trapped so use Demolition again to disarm it. Move through the gap in the fence and get to the gate in the north corner. Once clear, go up the path and again keep an eye out for mines. Without alerting the Wreckers, get your team set up for combat and proceed to kill. Use Brute Force or attack the fence to get inside the perimeter. Use Perception to find them and Demolition skills to disarm. Once they're dealt with, head north to the fence but be careful of the traps on the ground. Get into position before fighting the lizard enemies. Once you enter Highpool follow the railroad tracks to the busted car. Wasteland 2 guide: the destruction of Highpool If you choose to go to Highpool first, you can find that walkthrough here. The clean sound is just as amazing, and Supro amps are known to have a gorgeous creamy clean tone. Because of this, it has more versatile overdrive and distortion options than the Fender Blues Junior, and you can get anything from vintage blues tones to modern rock lead tones from this amp. The gain switch is the dirtiest of all the options, but what’s really exciting is you can mix and match each circuit. The diverse options for gain and overdrive really set this amp apart from many other tube amps, and each option has its own distinct personality. It also comes with 3-band EQ controls – bass, mid and treble, and a reverb knob. The Blues King 12 comes with jaw-dropping options for gain tones – volume (gain), boost switch, gain switch, and a master volume. It has an impressive amount of power from the class A 6L6 power section, but with only one input. They’re inspired by the early Supro amps, and the neat black and silver design gives you both a vintage and a modern feeling. Right off the bat, you’ll notice the unique but beautiful design. Recently, Supro released an amp that is as equally affordable and has even more features than the Fender Blues Junior. They’ve had many iconic artists like Jimmy Page use their amps over the years. Supro is known for being another legendary amp company that has been around since the 1920s. Here is a competitor to the famous Fender Blues Junior – the Supro Blues King 12. Not the best for hardcore rock and metal distortion tones.Ģ.Simple and classic design that is true to the original.I would not hesitate to rate this amp 5 out of 5! Pros The Fender 65 Princeton Reverb has one of the best clean tones and it’s also perfect for some gorgeous overdrive sounds. The amp comes at under $1000, which is extremely rare for an amp of this quality. It’s totally possible to use this at smaller sized venues. Though it’s a 15 watt amp, you’ll be surprised at how loud it can get. No doubt a deliberate decision at this point just to stay true to the original. It’s really a tremolo effect and has no bearing on the pitch whatsoever. The reverb is generally known to be on the brighter side and the ‘vibrato’ effect is perfect for creating both slow and fast atmospheric pulses.Ĭonfusingly, Fender mislabelled this effect. In general, the clean tone coming from this amp has shimmering treble and full bass, while the natural overdrive allows for a fat overdrive tone with deep sustain. The Fender 65 Princeton Reverb is known for its heavenly clean tones – some of the best in the business. It’s also equipped with Jensen Special Design C-10R 10” Speaker. These are all high-quality parts in particular, I love how the 5AR4 rectifier warms the amp up gradually to the high point voltage. In terms of tubes, the 65 Princeton Reverb comes with three 12AX7s, a 12AT7, two 6V6 tubes, and a single 5AR4 rectifier tube. This amp stays true to the original, and this is a big part of why I love it so much. You’ll notice that even though these are recent versions of the classic amp, there are no modern digital functions or fancy effects like chorus and flanger ( click here for a refresher on chorus vs flanger vs phaser) ( click here for a refresher on chorus vs flanger vs phaser). It comes with volume, treble, bass, vibrato (tremolo) speed and intensity, and reverb depth – a total of six knobs. The 65 Princeton Reverb has a classy design and includes two instrument inputs. Even after so many years, these amps have kept their classic look, with the original vibrato effect and spring reverb intact. They were first manufactured as practicing amps by Leo Fender, but they are now regarded as excellent studio amps as well. Fender’s 65 Princeton Reverb guitar amplifier is one of the most legendary amps in the business, and also one of the earliest, dating back to 1946. |
